Our summer centre traces its history back to 1751, in St Edmund's School. It is nestled in the historic city of Canterbury and offers an experience that combines both fun with British tradition and is just 55 minutes from London by train.

Located in the southeast of England, Canterbury is a charming city, home to the Archbishop of Canterbury and the city's famous cathedral, which is a masterpiece of Gothic architecture.

Enjoy the Boarding School facilities of St Edmund's, including well-equipped classrooms, comfortable accommodation and large green areas. All part of one secure campus site.

About The Twin Canterbury Summer Centre

Our Canterbury Summer Centre is located close to the University of Kent, just a 15-minute walk into Canterbury - or a short journey on a local bus - and with easy access to a nearby supermarket.

Our English summer school offers a fantastic learning environment, modern facilities and well-equipped, spacious classrooms.


Nearby cities include London (55min by train) and Dover (1hr by train), , while the closest airports are Gatwick (1hr 15min), Heathrow (1hr 45min), and Stansted (1 hr 15min).

At Twin, the safety and well-being of our students is our utmost priority.


  • 24-hour emergency contact number available.
  • Minimum overall adult-to-child supervision ratio of 1:10
  • Each student is assigned to a dedicated Twin Group Leader.
  • A Safeguarding Lead is on duty at all times.
  • Staff recruitment is conducted by NSPCC-trained professionals.
  • Police checks on all staff members.

Our students, aged 10 to 17, come from different parts of the world. At Twin Canterbury Summer Centre, they will make friends, have exciting adventures, and improve their English skills. Whether it's exploring London's culture or joining our social activities, every student will have a real and enjoyable experience.

Accommodation in Canterbury Summer Centre

There are two separate areas of the school for boys and girls. Each will have their group leaders overseeing their boarding atmosphere. The range of room sizes, the children enjoy the communal aspects such as the common room, TV room and games rooms.

Day Trips and Excursions

A typical two-week programme includes one full day in Cambridge, a beautiful city in the countryside known for its world-famous University. You’ll also spend a day in the vibrant and modern seaside city of Brighton. The programme includes a number of walking tours.

Thames River Cruise - London Eye - Big Ben - Houses of Parliament

A journey along the historic River Thames, with views of London's skyline. This tour includes iconic landmarks such as the London Eye, Big Ben, and the Houses of Parliament, providing a stunning backdrop to your language exploration.
