What Is Expected From Homestay Hosts?
- Warm, safe home environment
- Sensitivity to cultural needs
- Private bedroom with single bed (per student)
- Study space and storage
- Access to communal areas
- Daily bathroom use
- Provision of meals on a Bed & Breakfast, half-board or full-board basis
- English communication during meals (eating meals with them when providing half or full-board)
- Door key for adult students
- Weekly laundry service
- Towels and bed linen provided and changed weekly
- Possible transportation support (in some cases, students will need picking up and dropping off daily at a local agreed point)
- Compliance with English UK's Homestay Code of Practice
