How Does It Work?

What Is Expected From Homestay Hosts?

  • Warm, safe home environment
  • Sensitivity to cultural needs
  • Private bedroom with single bed (per student)
  • Study space and storage
  • Access to communal areas
  • Daily bathroom use
  • Provision of meals on a Bed & Breakfast, half-board or full-board basis
  • English communication during meals (eating meals with them when providing half or full-board)
  • Door key for adult students
  • Weekly laundry service
  • Towels and bed linen provided and changed weekly
  • Possible transportation support (in some cases, students will need picking up and dropping off daily at a local agreed point)
