About the Twin Gloucester Summer Centre
Hosted in the University of Gloucestershire’s Oxstalls campus, our summer centre is in the north of Gloucester and offers a great learning environment as well as access to a stunning city founded almost 2000 years ago.
The nearest cities to this centre are Oxford (1 hour 20 minutes), London (2 hours 30 minutes), and Bristol (1 hour). The nearest airport for students coming to our Gloucester summer centre is Gloucestershire Airport (15 minutes).

The summer school is located in the city of Gloucester, offering fantastic access to shops, landmarks, and leisure activities.
The safety and well-being of students is our highest priority. Our Gloucestercentre is accredited, and our safeguarding standards are enforced with the following:
- 24-hour emergency contact number.
- Minimum overall adult-to-child supervision ratio of 1:10
- Individual students assigned to a dedicated Twin Group Leader
- Safeguarding Lead on duty in each centre at all times.
- Staff recruitment is conducted by NSPCC-trained staff.
- Police and background checks are carried out on each member of staff.

Summer School Accommodation in Gloucester
Our accommodation at Gloucester Summer Centre includes on-site en-suite twin rooms. Bed linen and towels are provided. Each student will enjoy comfortable and private accommodation.
Students should remember to bring an adaptor (Europe to UK/Ireland) for all their electronic/charging needs, comfortable shoes for walking tours, toiletries and a waterproof jacket.

Our Gloucester Summer Centre is based in the University of Gloucestershire’s contemporary Oxtalls campus, only a 15-minute walk from the city centre. Students will get a taste of university life in the campus’s stylish accommodation, surrounded by expansive green spaces, ponds, and sports pitches.
