Happy International Ask a Question Day. Today, on the 14th March, was Albert Einstein’s birthday in 1879. So the day is now acknowledged and celebrated as International Ask a Question Day.

One of Einstein’s famous quotes states ‘The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for exisiting.’

Today is your opportunity to take advantage of asking any questions you want to know the answers to. Perhaps you want to know what the definition of a C2 level English word is, such as ludicrous or ridiculous, or maybe you want to ask your English teacher how you should be correctly using punctuation.

If you need some more inspiration, why not consider these reasons as to why people ask questions?

People ask questions to:

  • Gather information
  • Build and maintain relationships
  • Learn and teach
  • Reflect and build awareness
  • Solve problems and make decisions
  • Challenge other people's opinions

You should ask questions whenever you are uncertain of anything, especially whilst you are learning English at our Twin English Centres. Our teachers and team are there to help you learn as much as you can whilst you are studying English in London or Eastbourne.

Remember that no question is silly or stupid, if you don’t know the answer yourself, the only way you can expect to learn is by asking!
