Accommodation in London

For London students, we offer a range of accommodation types which are safe and comfortable. Our options include home environments, shared and private rooms or purpose-built residences. Homestay accommodation is available on a full-board, half-board or bed & breakfast basis, and our residences have kitchen facilities available for self-catering. Please ask us for more information on our residential options and availability.


With homestay accommodation, we aim to place students within 60-90 minutes of our London school. Please note that some homestays are provided by trusted local organisers.

Studying with us isn’t just about language – it’s about life in one of the world’s greatest cities. Our school is in Greenwich, just five miles (eight kilometres) from central London. From here, you can easily travel across the city using the Underground, DLR and national rail.


Whether you want to visit museums, wander through markets, catch a show or stroll along the Thames, London offers endless opportunities. And with our monthly social programmes and activities, you’ll have plenty of chances to practise English, explore the city and make new friends.

Our London English Centre is located in Greenwich in South-East London, just 5 miles (8 km) away from the city centre.


There are plenty of events and attractions within Greenwich - with a strong history, Greenwich is home to several important landmarks, including the Royal Observatory and the Cutty Sark ship.


You can also explore pubs, restaurants, and shops before heading to the famous Greenwich Market.


If you don't want to explore alone, the school offers a wide variety of social events every month. You can download an example of our social programme here, or check out what students are doing on our Instagram account.

The London public transport network is divided into travel Zones 1 to 9. Twin English Centre London is in Travel Zone 3, while central London is located in Zone 1. Getting around London is quick and easy using public transport. The fastest way is on the famous London Underground rail network, or the 'Tube’ as it is known to Londoners.

Our English Centre is located within walking distance of North Greenwich underground station, as well as Maze Hill train station and Westcombe Park train station.

A simple 45-minute journey will bring you to famous locations such as Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus, and Covent Garden. Or you could visit one of the city's many free galleries and museums, such as the Science Museum, the Imperial War Museum, the National Gallery, the British Library, or the Natural History Museum.

Some rail companies run 2-for-1 promotions on admission to many of the top attractions – all you have to do is download the vouchers, print a copy and take a valid rail ticket with you. And don't forget: you don’t always have to do the typical tourist attractions. There are all sorts of exciting things that you can do – most of which are cheap or cost nothing at all!
