Designed to help international students prepare for university, a foundation year like the Twin & Bellerbys Global Foundation Programme gives you the opportunity to develop your English, build valuable skills, and gain access to leading universities in the UK and beyond.
Whether you’re hoping to study at a UK university, stand out in a competitive job market, or explore your interests before committing to a full degree, there are so many reasons to consider a foundation programme before university.
Here are five of the biggest benefits! 🎓
Alongside your chosen pathway, a foundation programme abroad can help you strengthen your academic and everyday English through language classes and tuition. Drawing on 30 years of English teaching experience, Twin focuses on authentic, communicative English as well as the academic vocabulary you’ll need to thrive in higher education.
You’ll also have the chance to practise your English in real-world situations, building your fluency and preparing you for life at a UK university.
Dreaming of studying at a top university? A foundation programme can help you work towards your goals with academic preparation, English language support, and personalised application guidance.
Twin & Bellerbys Global Foundation Programmes offer over 60 guaranteed worldwide progression routes, including opportunities to progress to universities in the UK and destinations such as Malaysia, Australia, China, the US, Canada, and Singapore.
Don’t see your dream university on the list? You’ll also receive personalised support with UCAS applications, helping you explore other university options in the UK.
Studying abroad is about more than your education. You’ll also meet people from different backgrounds, makelong-lasting friendships, and create memories that’ll stay with you long after graduation.
Living in the UK allows you to become more independent while experiencing a new culture in a safe, supportive environment. From cultural trips in the West End to social clubs and careers workshops, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to make friends and feel part of an international community.
It’s never too early to start building the skills employers value most. Skills workshops can help you develop valuable soft skills like communication, leadership, and problem-solving, while CV preparation and careers advice can give you a head start on applying for jobs both in the UK and globally.
On our Foundation Programmes, support doesn’t end after the course. Students also get access to an optional summer internship opportunity worth £1,000 to help boost their CV and gain practical experience before graduation.
Choosing a university and degree is a big decision, and it’s not always easy to know which path is the right one. A foundation programme gives you time to explore your interests, grow, and get guidance on your next steps before committing to a university degree.
Whether you already know exactly what you want to do or are still figuring things out, you’ll be better equipped to weigh up your options and make more informed decisions about your future.
Bringing together 70 years of combined experience in education and student support, this trusted partnership between Twin and Bellerbys Global offers international students a recognised pathway to university and beyond.
Study in Eastbourne or London and choose to specialise in Business, Media, or Computing & Engineering. Alongside your chosen subject, you’ll improve your English in real-world contexts and take part in enrichment activities, from cultural trips to CV workshops and interview preparation. It’s an opportunity to develop academically, professionally, and personally – all while exploring everything the UK has to offer.
