Social programme
We include a range of free activities alongside our programmes. These social events give you the perfect chance to practise your English, meet other students and have fun in London.
There are plenty of extra things that you can do in London outside of our programme, which are cost-friendly or are completely free! For example, you can visit one of London's many parks, walk the river Thames and the famous Southbank, visit museums and art galleries or even go on guided tours.

Please note that some activities on our social programme may incur an extra charge. For example, bowling can cost around £5 and a cinema ticket may cost £10-15.

How to get around
The London public transport network is divided into travel zones 1 to 9. Twin London is situated in travel zone 2, while central London is located in zone 1. Getting around London is quick and easy using public transport, the fastest way is on the famous London Underground rail network, or ‘the Tube’ as it is known as to Londoners.
You can plan your route online with Transport for London's Journey Planner or for more detailed information on the Tube, stations, buses, the Docklands Light Railway (DLR), trams or local trains within London; visit the Transport for London website.
Transport for London produces free maps and guides to help you get around. You can pick up a London Underground map at any Tube Station or download an app to your phone or tablet. You can also download a handy Tube and bus map designed for visitors called Travel Maps. London Travel Information centres sell tickets and provide free maps, plus there are centres at all Heathrow Airport terminals, major stations in London and at Tourist Information Centres.
There are over 19,000 registered Black taxi cabs in London that will take you anywhere you want to go. While using a cab is convenient, they are expensive compared to using public transport. To use a black taxi, simply spot one with the 'TAXI' sign lit up, put your hand up to attract the driver's attention, if they see you, they'll stop.
