Career-enhancing courses for educators. Available for Erasmus funded streams.

Our special Teacher Development courses are aimed at developing the skills and confidence of educators. We can help them improve their classroom performance, knowledge of teaching methodologies and techniques, and their use of English both in the classroom and in general.

Twin’s Teacher Training courses in Dublin qualify for Erasmus+ Key Action (KA1) decentralised activities funding for teachers.

With more than 10 years of in-service teacher development course delivery and over 25 years in providing meaningful educational travel programmes, for participants from all around the world, we can be trusted to deliver quality courses in our centres.

Teacher Professional Development and Teacher Training

Students are increasingly educated for global citizenship and career opportunities and teaching needs to respond to this growing need. Whilst Europe is placing clear emphasis in this area with billions euros of funding, the topic is also relevant all around the world. Fluency in English, Inclusion and often CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) teaching remain a growing trend.

We have an excellent track record of providing quality courses for this market and we have now increased our course portfolio, offering many new and existing professional development options for teachers worldwide.

Twin is fully committed to assisting schools in addressing identified needs as outlined in their European Development Plan. We continue to work with teachers from around Europe to design innovative course content to address their developing needs.

Our courses

We have five course topics, each with multiple options including various durations and start dates throughout the year. For those who wish to upskill their English skills, options with English language tuition are available in all our courses.

Proven in our own school

We have delivered Teacher Professional Development from our schools in Ireland and the UK for more than 10 years. Our Irish team developed courses initially for our teachers, using their knowledge of EAQUALS CEFR Linguistic competences for adult learning, to prove their effectiveness. This project inspired our current portfolio of courses, which have been evolving ever since.

We ensure all courses are compliant with Erasmus+ requirements, providing reassurance to EU and global teachers alike.

A signed Erasmus+ Mobility Agreement and a signed Erasmus+ Quality Commitment are prepared in detail and sent with the confirmation and invoice.

Our service provides the highest training quality for the participants plus detailed support to the sending school. This attention to detail not only saves the sending school days of work, but protects the school in case of Erasmus+ inspection.

As host to students from 90+ nations, Twin’s international cultural awareness is also assured.

Our approach

Our approach to course development attracts trainers and teachers who are interested in a range of teaching methods and keen to develop their own skills in a supportive and creative environment. Our school directors developed courses to provide teachers with new skills and tools to make learning experiences more interesting to learners of all ages. We combine our years of experience with the latest theory, practices and technology to increase awareness of contemporary teaching trends and developments.

Our courses are developed to be suitable both for groups and for individuals joining a group.

We take great care with pre-course preparation, whether in actual pre-work requests to participants or simply practical pre-arrival advice. In our sessions we encourage the sharing of experience to increase awareness of cultural diversity, transnational cooperation, to foster an interest in intercultural communication and the sharing of best practice.
